Changelog

What shipped to production.

Every item below is running in the Gen318 platform today. Each one is dated by the week it reached production: the release that shipped it, or the day it was switched on. Work that is built but not yet released is not listed until it is.

Field work

  • Photos on job comments, and fixed evidence-photo uploads.
  • Technicians see past repairs on the same equipment, with cause and fix, when they open a job.
  • Close a job as resolved, partly resolved or not resolved, with the next step recorded.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Connect Huawei FusionSolar by owner authorisation (read-only), with no password shared.
  • Forecast accuracy over time on the Forecast page, so you can see whether forecasts are improving or drifting.
  • More reliable demand forecasts for established sites, each labelled with the model that produced it.
  • Fleet Tree adds a summary row with each category's share of hours.
  • Solar under-performance alerts no longer fire on tiny daytime fluctuations.
  • A series that over-reports can no longer hide one that went silent in the data-delivered figure.
  • One bad reading no longer holds back a whole batch; the good readings are kept.
  • DC mesh grid sites, with household connection points and uptime weighted by households served.

Reports & compliance

  • Reports containing simulated data are never submitted to Odyssey, even when quality warnings are acknowledged.
  • Regulatory reports count as overdue only against reports actually issued.
  • Fleet analytics read the right data-completeness figure and count each site and period once.
  • The fault log names the parts a technician used.

Platform

  • A new site counts as live only once its data has arrived on schedule and passed quality checks for 72 hours.

Field work

  • Operations Desk: cases that follow a problem from first signal through the work order to the confirmed fix, with response-time targets and shift handovers.
  • Each closed repair is kept as a fixed, fingerprinted record of cause, evidence and sign-off.
  • Planned maintenance schedules for each asset.
  • QR tags on equipment, and a logbook for every asset.
  • Comment threads on jobs, and contractors as assignees.
  • A “Today” screen for technicians.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Fleet Tree: one picture of where every site's hours and energy went, with a ranked list of what is worth a look.

Reports & compliance

  • Value statements: weekly and monthly figures graded measured, modelled or estimated, with no money shown unless it is priced from the site's own data.
  • Monday's weekly summary email is built from the value statement and tailored to each reader's role.

Week of

Live Oct 5 and 8

Field work

  • Fixed: creating a work order with a deadline failed.
  • Daily field log in the technician app, with a monthly roll-up and export in the console.
  • Priority ranking of open work orders, with the reasons behind each score.
  • Checking in to and completing jobs in the technician app now works offline.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Ongoing alerts no longer re-fire every few minutes; suppression now holds.
  • Fixed: the fleet map draws its sites again, and alert actions are no longer cut off.

Reports & compliance

  • DARES milestone tracking follows each programme track's own payment split, and shows dollar amounts only from a signed agreement.
  • Daily performance figures now include data that weak-connection sites send up to a week late.
  • Report share links record each time they are opened; previewing your own report does not count.
  • Fault log report: every work order and every unworked high-priority alert for a period, as PDF, CSV or JSON.
  • Reports can be restricted to named readers.
  • Assign follow-up actions on a report, with overdue items flagged.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Panel soiling alerts now use weather-corrected performance, so a cloudy month no longer reads as dirty panels.
  • Diesel over-consumption alerts and the weekly digest use each site's declared generator and fuel data, with no platform-default prices.

Reports & compliance

  • Continuous energy audit report for each site: energy balance, performance, diesel, battery and data quality, with a ranked list of opportunities.
  • Advisory savings show no naira figure unless the site has declared its own prices.
  • Supply-hours record for programme milestones, and outage figures that no longer count a data gap as an outage.
  • NERC Schedule 4 workpaper that fills the official template for the operator's signature.
  • Portfolio reports show each site's connection health, so lenders can see whether monitoring is live.
  • Client uptime statements on inverter-only sites use the inverter's energy and say so.

Platform

  • Generator scheduling uses each site's own declared fuel price.

Live Sep 14, 16, 17 and 18

Field work

  • Response and resolution times now count every alert, including ones never acknowledged, and are reported as percentiles.

Reports & compliance

  • Savings statements call fuel use “measured” only when it was actually measured.
  • NERC 2026 regulatory workpapers for reporting, losses and settlement, prepared for a person to review, sign and file.
  • When a portfolio report cannot be released, the console shows which checks stopped it.

Platform

  • Partner data access: API keys, a read-only data API and signed webhooks for alerts, finished reports and connection problems.

Week of

Live Sep 13, 2026

Reports & compliance

  • Generator emissions record: a log book per generator, an annual emissions inventory and a Scope 1 line, each stating its method and how the fuel figure was obtained.
  • Generator figures now handle kVA ratings and fuel-counter resets correctly.

Week of

Live Aug 27 and 28

Field work

  • Spare-parts demand forecasts from repair history, with reorder advice that never assumes stock you have not recorded.
  • Regional parts depots: stock per depot, transfers in transit, and whether to ship a part from a depot or buy it.

Reports & compliance

  • Regulatory rule packs for all 36 states and the FCT, each showing whether a state regulation or the federal rules apply.
  • Investor portfolio reports, shared through time-limited links.
  • Compliance and settlement figures now carry their uncertainty range.

Week of

Live Aug 19 and 23

Field work

  • Closing a repair records its confirmed cause and fix, building a history of what fails and why.
  • A redesigned technician app, built to stay readable in bright daylight.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Battery health estimates now use each reading's real timestamp, correcting temperature-stress figures for equipment that reports every 5 to 15 minutes.
  • Battery health now reports time spent charging at extreme temperatures, a parameter EU battery rules ask storage systems to keep.
  • Data coverage shows two numbers side by side: how much of the expected data arrived, and how much of it passed quality checks.
  • Energy totals show how much of the period they cover, and data delays are broken down by where they happened.
  • Zoomed-out charts keep every equipment state change, and simulated data is flagged wherever it appears.

Reports & compliance

  • Commercial and industrial sites get their own availability definitions, client contracts and client statements.

Platform

  • Security hardening across sign-in sessions, encryption and two-factor sign-in.

Week of

Live Aug 12, 13, 14 and 15

First production release

Field work

  • Work orders with a full lifecycle: created, assigned, acknowledged, in progress, completed or escalated, with service deadlines.
  • An offline-first technician app with step-by-step jobs, checklists and geotagged photos.
  • Job photos are stored privately, stripped of hidden metadata and shown through short-lived links, with thumbnails.

Monitoring & data quality

  • Cloud connections to inverter and metering platforms, each with a health status and automatic reconnection.
  • An optional on-site gateway that reads equipment locally, keeps recording when the internet drops and sends the backlog when it returns.
  • Battery state-of-health and remaining-life estimates from a physics model, with uncertainty, wherever battery data is reported.
  • Demand forecasts for each site, with ranges, that start from fleet averages until a site has enough history of its own.
  • Fleet overview: energy generated, generator hours, active alerts and uptime across every site, with the data coverage behind each figure.
  • New cloud connections bring in up to 60 days of history, so trends are visible from the first day.
  • Alert triage: link an alert to a work order and record how it was resolved.
  • The fleet map keeps showing sites when the background map cannot load on a slow connection.
  • Alerts now read as plain sentences with a recommended next step.
  • Every reading is checked against expected units, ranges and reporting rates, and only trusted data feeds alerts, forecasts and reports.
  • Telemetry Explorer: compare up to six series, zoom and pan, see missing data as gaps, and follow alerts, outages and work orders on one timeline.
  • Anomaly detection that takes weather and load into account, and failure predictions over several time horizons.

Reports & compliance

  • Fleet briefs: a written summary of what changed across the fleet and what needs attention.

Platform

  • Diesel generator scheduling advice: the platform recommends when to run generators and records each recommendation; it does not switch equipment.
  • A rebuilt operator console with a consistent, high-contrast design made for control-room use.
  • Set up sites, equipment and data connections from the console.
  • Alert and account emails now arrive from Gen318 with consistent branding.
  • Encrypted, off-site backups of platform data.
  • Show-password toggle on the sign-in screen.
  • Invite a company's first owner by email with a single-use, time-limited set-up link.
  • Guided onboarding with a checklist for each way of connecting data: vendor cloud, on-site gateway or equipment list only.
  • Invite team members and see whether each invitation was delivered.
  • Add a site straight from the sites list, and a clear first screen when a fleet has no sites yet.
  • Generator scheduling advice now respects each generator's limits, including minimum run time, ramp rates and light-load protection.
